Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ingvar Harlén kicked off to start the match. Bengt-Arne Abelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingvar Harlén in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Fagrell in the 9th minute of play forced Elvendale's goalkeeper Herbert Friberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Elvendale's Ralf Törnkvist got a free kick in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Elvendale's zone, Edvin Fagrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Friberger came out of the goal and Edvin Fagrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bleket BF's Gert Ekblom got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 17 minutes, Erik Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bleket BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Benet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Ingvar Harlén notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bleket BF's Bengt-Arne Abelsson. Bengt-Arne Abelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Magnus Frisk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Bleket BF's Gert Ekblom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herbert Friberger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Bleket BF's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Abelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Harlén. Herbert Friberger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Friberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Benet in the 34th minute of play. Edvin Fagrell might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Friberger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvin Fagrell ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Magnus Frisk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Friberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Fagrell in the 42nd minute of play. Bengt-Arne Abelsson made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ingvar Harlén sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Elvendale's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Benet came free, but Herbert Friberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Erik Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvin Fagrell got free with Herbert Friberger in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Erik Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edvin Fagrell came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Bleket BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Fagrell couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Ekblom in the 67th minute of play forced Elvendale's goalkeeper Herbert Friberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvin Fagrell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herbert Friberger firmly grabbed it by the left post. Edvin Fagrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Arne Abelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Wallmark in the 76th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Bleket BF got a freekick which was hit by Gert Ekblom. After 78 played minutes Bleket BF got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Fagrell. Gert Ekblom charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gert Ekblom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elvendale's Herbert Friberger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Elvendale from getting a goal against them. Herbert Friberger was a little too slow when Gert Ekblom got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-2. The Bleket BF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bleket BF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
