Spectators: 7579 (Terracing: 5685, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robert Pires started the match with the kick off. Arman Holmberg made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Robert Pires sent off a good shot on target. Robert Pires received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arman Holmberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Robert Pires slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. A collision led to Blåränderna getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Nigel Winterburn hit a great ball. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes Lars Brander shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Alfred Tingelholm when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Robert Pires who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Arman Holmberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 17 minutes, Robert Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blåränderna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robert Wassenius got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sten Nyman. Alfred Tingelholm came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by New Vae City's Lars Brander. But to his dismay, Lars Brander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 26 minutes, Tommy Heggert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blåränderna and the New Vae City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of New Vae City booed when Blåränderna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Heggert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Maximiliano Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Tingelholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Brander in the 33rd minute of the match. Robert Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Arman Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th match minute, Blåränderna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Kielstedt to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes, New Vae City's Aleksander Bjursell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfred Tingelholm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New Vae City reached it. In the 43rd match minute, New Vae City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Wassenius to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Brander to make the kick off. Robert Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arman Holmberg having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Nigel Winterburn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arman Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 69th minute of the match Maximiliano Vargas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arman Holmberg skillfully saved the ball. Blåränderna's Gert Björklund quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Robert Wassenius, made in the 70th minute of the game. Alfred Tingelholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Brander in the 72nd minute of the match. Bror Torstensson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Arman Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Pires in the 78th minute of the match. Blåränderna's Tor Edberg was substituted for Robert Pires. In the 80th minute of the match Blåränderna got a corner. New Vae City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tor Edberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Tor Edberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute of the match Blåränderna got a corner. New Vae City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tor Edberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Blåränderna's corner Tor Edberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arman Holmberg quite easily take care of the ball.
