Ivar Wallmark hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Hultafors IK's Tage Åman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sebastian Hellström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Eskilstuna SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pontus Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Nordlander in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Eskilstuna SK's zone, Sven-Oskar Lind stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uno Björnberg came out of the goal and Sven-Oskar Lind tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Fred Kihlman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hultafors IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Kihlman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Hultafors IK's Pontus Lundgren got control of the ball when Sebastian Hellström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Sven-Oskar Lind came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Hultafors IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Oskar Lind couldn't finish the play. After having played for 27 minutes, Fred Kihlman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hultafors IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Kihlman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sven-Oskar Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uno Björnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Kihlman in the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Fred Kihlman made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Eskilstuna SK's Uno Björnberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hultafors IK's goalkeeper Pontus Lundgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastian Hellström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hultafors IK's Mats Forsell got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Sebastian Hellström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pontus Lundgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Eric Nordlander made the kick off in the second half. Fred Kihlman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sven-Oskar Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hultafors IK's Sven-Oskar Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Ivar Wallmark left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eskilstuna SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Fred Kihlman took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uno Björnberg. Uno Björnberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Stefan Asklund fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hultafors IK's protests and gave Stefan Asklund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Stefan Asklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Emil Wiberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Lundgren having to interfere. Sebastian Hellström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Nordlander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pontus Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hultafors IK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
