Robert Pires might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jon Ahlbom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Pires ran back to his position shaking his head. After 7 minutes, Robert Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blåränderna and the Slöinge IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Blåränderna getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Robert Pires hit a great ball. Robert Pires's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Jon Ahlbom skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 15 minutes of play, Blåränderna's Robert Pires made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon Ahlbom was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 21 minutes, Robert Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blåränderna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jon Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29thth minute of the game Robert Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slöinge IK's Jon Ahlbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blåränderna's Robert Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Robert Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Unesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Pires was the one to do the kick off. Robert Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jon Ahlbom having to make a save. In the 52nd minute, Robert Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon Ahlbom was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience was convinced that Robert Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jon Ahlbom was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Alfred Tingelholm made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Börge Colin sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Pires in the 62nd minute of play forced Slöinge IK's goalkeeper Jon Ahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alf Stigsson hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jon Ahlbom came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Blåränderna's Robert Pires. But to his dismay, Robert Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Jon Ahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Pires in the 72nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Robert Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jon Ahlbom was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 77th minute Robert Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Ahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79th play minutes Robert Pires shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Jon Ahlbom and just under the crossbar into goal. Jon Ahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Edberg in the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor Edberg in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Ahlbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Tor Edberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jon Ahlbom was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Jon Ahlbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Edberg's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blåränderna fully deserved thier win.
