Henry Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Åke Wallmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Henry Andersson came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Vartofta RK's Thomas Löfskog. But to his dismay, Thomas Löfskog quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kenneth Täman was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Kennet Qvalfeldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kennet Qvalfeldt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 13 minutes into the game, Kjell Olsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vartofta RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aros Vandals the free kick. Kjell Olsson hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Henry Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Löfskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Vartofta RK's goal looked a bit too open when Kennet Qvalfeldt came free, but Kenneth Täman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vartofta RK booed when Aros Vandals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Uter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Kjell Olsson hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Niclas Söderström sped through Aros Vandals's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henry Andersson. Kenneth Täman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kennet Qvalfeldt in the 29th minute of play. Kenneth Täman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Utter in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Vartofta RK defense, Sebastian Ferm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenneth Täman. The Vartofta RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenneth Täman should have stopped the shot. Henry Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Sjö in the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Aros Vandals getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Rickard Uter hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the match Jan-Ove Nyström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Andersson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 46 played minutes, Vartofta RK's Jan-Ove Nyström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Andersson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vartofta RK reached it. After 47 minutes of play, Vartofta RK's Thomas Löfskog made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Andersson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Vartofta RK were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kenneth Täman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Utter in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Qvalfeldt in the 55th minute of play forced Vartofta RK's goalkeeper Kenneth Täman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Kjell Olsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jan-Åke Wallmark was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hans Utter took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Täman. Kenneth Täman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Utter in the 70th minute of play forced Vartofta RK's goalkeeper Kenneth Täman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Uter in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Täman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 78 played minutes Vartofta RK got a freekick which was hit by Melker Gadd. Kennet Qvalfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Täman having to interfere. Gustav Sjö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Vartofta RK's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Utter came free, but Kenneth Täman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
