The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan-Åke Wallmark succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. 9 minutes into the match, Vartofta RK's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Löfskog came free, but Kenneth Täman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Jan-Åke Wallmark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenneth Täman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Pihl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Vartofta RK got a freekick which was hit by Folke Carlsson. If Gustav Sjö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Niclas Söderström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valter Haeger. Niclas Söderström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Niclas Söderström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valter Haeger was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Anton Löfskog ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kenneth Täman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Kenneth Täman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Löfskog in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Walmarsson in the 46th minute of play forced Vartofta RK's goalkeeper Kenneth Täman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harry Pihl made a kick off. Valter Haeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Sjö in the 51st minute of the match. Niclas Söderström took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valter Haeger. Valter Haeger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Sjö in the 60th minute of play forced Ellieton Football Club's goalkeeper Valter Haeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ellieton Football Club defense, Thomas Löfskog kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valter Haeger. The Ellieton Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valter Haeger should have stopped the shot. Valter Haeger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Löfskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Pihl during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenneth Täman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Pihl, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd match minute, Ellieton Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Pihl to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Niclas Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Haeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Löfskog scored 6-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valter Haeger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kenneth Täman was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Harry Pihl capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harry Pihl really showed his touch with that goal: 6-2. Anton Löfskog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Kenneth Täman made a huge save. Kenneth Täman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Pihl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, Ellieton Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Ivarsson to maneuver through the defense. Valter Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Åke Wallmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Gustav Sjö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Haeger having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ellieton Football Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vartofta RK.
