Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Per-Inge Glad kicked off to start the match. After 14 minutes, Ingvar Bergsten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aros Vandals and the Vårby IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ingvar Bergsten hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Casper Dahlquist charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casper Dahlquist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aros Vandals getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Casper Dahlquist hit a great ball. Vårby IK's Egon Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Inge Glad in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vårby IK's Sverker Gustafsson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vidar Björkdal in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johan Lönn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sverker Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Aros Vandals getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Elliott Lundberg hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vidar Björkdal in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johan Lönn saved Aros Vandals from getting behind. Johan Lönn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vidar Björkdal's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Wiktor Lindholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johan Lönn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidar Björkdal in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Aros Vandals's goal looked a bit too open when Vidar Björkdal came free, but Johan Lönn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Sverker Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vårby IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sverker Gustafsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vidar Björkdal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johan Lönn came out and tried to block the shot, but Vidar Björkdal slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 62nd minute. With his leg Johan Lönn managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Vårby IK's Vidar Björkdal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute, Vidar Björkdal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Johan Lönn, passed just outside the right post. Vidar Björkdal struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Johan Lönn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vårby IK. A collision led to Aros Vandals getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ingvar Bergsten hit a great ball. Johan Lönn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidar Björkdal in the 88th minute of the match. Johan Lönn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidar Björkdal in the 90th minute of play. Egon Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Bergsten in the 93rd minute of play. Vårby IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
