When Edward Kjellman fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arboga IK's protests and gave Edward Kjellman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6thth minute of the game Thomas Pilgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arboga IK's Robert Wydrych was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of The Simpsons booed when Arboga IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilian Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Arboga IK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Edward Kjellman hit a great ball. After 14 minutes of play, The Simpsons's Björn Hökkvist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Wydrych was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Olsson in the 27th minute of play forced The Simpsons's goalkeeper Kurt Hafström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Arboga IK's Edward Kjellman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kurt Hafström. Kurt Hafström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Robert Wydrych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Pilgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Stig Modig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes of play, The Simpsons's Thomas Pilgren made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Wydrych was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Arboga IK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Simpsons were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Pilgren was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Arboga IK got a freekick which was hit by Edward Kjellman. Robert Wydrych stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Pilgren's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Stig Modig might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Hafström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig Modig ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Hafström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Kjellman went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to The Simpsons getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Thomas Pilgren hit a great ball. After 70 played minutes The Simpsons got a freekick which was hit by Conny Engström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Pilgren in the 74th minute of play forced Arboga IK's goalkeeper Robert Wydrych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximilian Pihlwall hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Kurt Hafström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Modig in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, The Simpsons's Krister Möller got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute Maximilian Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Hafström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Pilgren in the 86th minute of play forced Arboga IK's goalkeeper Robert Wydrych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, The Simpsons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Hökkvist to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, The Simpsons's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Olsson came free, but Kurt Hafström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Thomas Pilgren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robert Wydrych, 2-4. Chants of The Simpsons echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Arboga IK had held the ball for most of the match.
