Jimmy Alströmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Vester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Joakim Bäckman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 35th minute, Joakim Bäckman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Kent Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Alströmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Södra Förorter FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Elg came free, but Jimmy Alströmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Kent Samuelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bredaryd IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walter Benett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 95th minute, Ola Håkansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Bredaryd IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Elg to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
