Karl-Axel Skytt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverker Blixt in the 20th minute of play. Anton Kihlman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Axel Skytt. Elden Ringers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. William Öberg's late challenge caught a Lund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Öberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Elden Ringers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Öberg to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Elden Ringers's goal looked a bit too open when Sverker Blixt came free, but Karl-Axel Skytt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Lund's Sverker Blixt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Axel Skytt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Elden Ringers's goal looked a bit too open when Sverker Blixt came free, but Karl-Axel Skytt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes in the game, Sverker Blixt dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Manfred Eklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Karl-Axel Skytt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Thomas Lindberg came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Lund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Lindberg couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Jens-Ola Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Nils-Emil Eliasson made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Elden Ringers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sverker Blixt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Elden Ringers's zone, Sverker Blixt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Axel Skytt came out of the goal and Sverker Blixt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sverker Blixt had several of the Elden Ringers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Karl-Axel Skytt as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 74thth minute of the game Sverker Blixt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elden Ringers's Karl-Axel Skytt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Sverker Blixt sped through Elden Ringers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karl-Axel Skytt. 82 minutes in the game Greger Ström did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sverker Blixt. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sverker Blixt in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Axel Skytt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Elden Ringers booed when Lund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverker Blixt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Mats Andersson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl-Axel Skytt. The goal made the score 0-4. Emil Månsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Lund's Manfred Eklund in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elden Ringers's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lund walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
