After a rather tough play, Tims Tomtar's Sebastian Brodin got a free kick in the 5th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Joseph Sandström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karl-Michael Kruuse. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 12th minute Fritz Hök shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Barck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olle Winström's late challenge caught a Tims Tomtar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olle Winström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Olle Winström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fritz Hök had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, IFK Grindstugan's Mikael Valler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Michael Kruuse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Karlsson lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of IFK Grindstugan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tims Tomtar:s goal. Valdemar Barck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Brodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaj Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Kruuse having to interfere. Karl-Michael Kruuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Tims Tomtar's Karl-Michael Kruuse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Sandström in the 39th minute of play. If Kaj Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaj Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Michael Kruuse having to make a save. Kaj Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Kruuse having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

IFK Grindstugan's attentive Aron Wallin managed to snatch the ball when Helge Askelöf made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. Kaj Åkesson scored 3-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Michael Kruuse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tims Tomtar's goalkeeper Karl-Michael Kruuse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl-Michael Kruuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Michael Kruuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Sandström in the 67th minute of play. The IFK Grindstugan fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when IFK Grindstugan's Kaj Åkesson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kaj Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Kruuse having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Kaj Åkesson managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Grindstugan's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj Åkesson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Michael Kruuse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Michael Kruuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olle Winström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Tims Tomtar's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Åkesson came free, but Karl-Michael Kruuse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. IFK Grindstugan's Per Kvalfält was substituted for Kaj Åkesson. In the 90thth minute of the game Per Kvalfält who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tims Tomtar's Karl-Michael Kruuse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. IFK Grindstugan had played much better football throughout.
