Anton Brandin charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fred Biörk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Åke Eklund in the 21st minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Gert Norberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Junosuando's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Norberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 played minutes Junosuando got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ove Åhlberg. After 27 played minutes Junosuando got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Gernberg. The crowd rose to their feet as Erik Olofsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fred Biörk. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. The supporters of Junosuando booed when Mora IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Olofsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Mora IK's Erik Olofsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Biörk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Mora IK's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Norberg came free, but Sonny Öman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gert Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Fred Biörk managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Mora IK's Bengt-Åke Eklund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt-Åke Eklund got free with Fred Biörk in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Olofsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Erik Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Erik Olofsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Biörk. Junosuando's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Olofsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When Gert Norberg in the 58th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Sonny Öman kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 4-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Erik Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mora IK's Sven-Arne Uter suffered a concussion in the 62nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Jan-Erik Gernberg's late challenge caught a Mora IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Erik Gernberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mora IK booed when Junosuando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Erik Gernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Åke Eklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mora IK's Bengt-Åke Eklund got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt-Åke Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Biörk having to interfere. Sonny Öman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reine Forsell's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Sonny Öman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gert Norberg in the 79th minute. Bengt-Åke Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Biörk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Åke Eklund in the 82nd minute of the match. If Reine Forsell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mora IK's goalkeeper Sonny Öman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jens-Ove Åhlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mora IK had won after a very even match.
