Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sävar IK's Sergio Gutierrez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Biagio Masciarelli hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Mellin in the 11th minute of play forced Sävar IK's goalkeeper Ture Sörman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ture Sörman came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Ljungsbro FC's Ragnar Billing. But to his dismay, Ragnar Billing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 25th match minute, Ljungsbro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Bergman to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Sävar IK's Frank Harman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damazy Blochowiak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. David Tunström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ture Sörman made a huge save. Thomas Berg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ljungsbro FC's Jonathan Beckman tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ragnar Billing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nils-Åke Ahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Damazy Blochowiak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavinho Zanette during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Sävar IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ljungsbro FC:s goal. After 65 played minutes Ljungsbro FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Arenberg. 67 minutes into the match, Frank Harman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damazy Blochowiak. Ljungsbro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Harman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 71 minutes into the match, Sävar IK's goal looked a bit too open when David Tunström came free, but Ture Sörman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ljungsbro FC's Jonathan Beckman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sävar IK. In the 79th minute, Sergio Gutierrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Flavinho Zanette was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. In the 81st match minute, Sävar IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Zanette to maneuver through the defense. David Tunström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes Sävar IK got a freekick which was hit by Carl Galle. In the 87th minute, Jonathan Beckman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ljungsbro FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
