Oskar Hjeltman scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingmar Olsman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hyllinge RK's Ingmar Olsman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Öman in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Hyllinge RK booed when Vetlanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Åhlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erland Kleen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Alefors having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Christoffer Smed cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ingmar Olsman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Öman, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Åke Öman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ingmar Olsman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erland Kleen struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Sven-Erik Alefors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hyllinge RK.
