Hyllinge RK were furious when Brian Smedfeldt was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Goteborg. Karl-Magnus Hedman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ingmar Olsman. 0-1. Ingmar Olsman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Lövgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingmar Olsman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Lövgren went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ingmar Olsman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Bållström in the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Goteborg's Elof Sandwall got control of the ball when Christoffer Smed tried to sneak it across the goal line. Goteborg's Martin Persson got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Hägg's late challenge caught a Goteborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent Hägg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Kent Hägg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes Hyllinge RK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karl-Magnus Hedman who took care of the corner kick. Sebastian Lövgren was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 40 minutes into the match, Sebastian Lövgren notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hyllinge RK's Ingmar Olsman. Ingmar Olsman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the match, Hyllinge RK's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Persson came free, but Ingmar Olsman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christoffer Smed to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Hyllinge RK's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Persson came free, but Ingmar Olsman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Lövgren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ingmar Olsman firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 66th minute Kent Hägg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elof Sandwall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Goteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Smed came free, but Elof Sandwall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Christoffer Smed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isak Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Lövgren was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Goteborg's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Goteborg's Martin Persson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ingmar Olsman. That made the score 0-4 after 80 minutes of play. When Joakim Bredberg came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Goteborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Bredberg couldn't finish the play.
