The referee ignored Glenns Unajted's protests and gave Manfred Bröms a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Glenns Unajted was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfred Bröms to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th match minute, Sollefteå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Felin to maneuver through the defense. If Manfred Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute of the match Alexander Westerberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agne Samuelsson skillfully saved the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Glenns Unajted's goalkeeper Per-Erik Mogren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Lidström. Glenns Unajted's Per-Erik Mogren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Vanderlat in the 27th minute of play. If Alexis Vanderlat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Felin was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sollefteå! With a little luck, Glenns Unajted's Per-Erik Mogren got control of the ball when Robert Mellberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sollefteå's Stellan Gulliksson got a free kick in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Roger Ahlén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenns Unajted's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Ahlén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Alexis Vanderlat made the kick off in the second half. Egil Hellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Per-Erik Mogren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Anton Ivarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Glenns Unajted's Jan-Olof Sundström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agne Samuelsson. That made the score 1-3 after 59 minutes of play. If Andreas Lidström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sollefteå's Robert Mellberg got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Arvidsson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Lars Dalberg made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eric Barck. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Alexis Vanderlat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sollefteå's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexis Vanderlat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Erik Mogren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Elliot Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Erik Mogren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Lidström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Andreas Lidström came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sollefteå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas Lidström couldn't finish the play. Per-Erik Mogren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Vanderlat, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
