Gösta Gullesson started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the NUTGRABBERS defense, Karl-Oskar Örn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Bollström. The NUTGRABBERS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Bollström should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute, Bengt-Rune Häger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Gösta Gullesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, NK Podgrmec's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Johansson came free, but Reine Bruhn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig-Åke Valrot hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of NK Podgrmec booed when NUTGRABBERS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, NK Podgrmec's Reine Bruhn got control of the ball when Gösta Gullesson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Oskar Örn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, NUTGRABBERS's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Nyberg came free, but Jack Bollström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alexander Nyberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Podgrmec's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Nyberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jack Bollström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half NK Podgrmec were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Oskar Örn made a kick off. After 52 played minutes NUTGRABBERS got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Åke Valrot. 58 minutes into the game, Per Larsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NK Podgrmec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NUTGRABBERS the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in NK Podgrmec's zone, Gösta Gullesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reine Bruhn came out of the goal and Gösta Gullesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Johansson in the 60th minute of play forced NK Podgrmec's goalkeeper Reine Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alexander Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Olov Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NUTGRABBERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Johansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, NUTGRABBERS's goalkeeper Jack Bollström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Nyberg. Jack Bollström was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Alexander Nyberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alexander Nyberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After a rather tough play, NUTGRABBERS's Olov Johansson got a free kick in the 80th minute. Stig-Åke Valrot charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig-Åke Valrot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stig-Åke Valrot kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Karl-Oskar Örn might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Bollström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Oskar Örn ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl-Oskar Örn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jack Bollström having to make a save. In the 87th minute, Olov Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alexander Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Alexander Nyberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jack Bollström to make any attempt to save it.
