In the 13thth minute of the game Karl-Oskar Örn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivierans Guldgossar's Kurt Ekman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Karl-Oskar Örn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Ekman was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. NK Podgrmec were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Rivierans Guldgossar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexander Nyberg took the corner. Kurt Ekman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per Larsson went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Magne Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Rivierans Guldgossar's Jan Jönsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reine Bruhn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 32nd minute of the match, Alexander Nyberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kurt Ekman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 33rd minute Peder Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Ekman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Jönsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rivierans Guldgossar. Peder Jönsson's late challenge caught a Rivierans Guldgossar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peder Jönsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Peder Jönsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Oskar Örn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rivierans Guldgossar's Kurt Ekman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Nyberg in the 53rd minute of play. NK Podgrmec's Peder Jönsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Peder Jönsson off the ground. After 57 played minutes NK Podgrmec got a freekick which was hit by Peder Jönsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Egil Åkesson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivierans Guldgossar's supporters rose to their feet, but Egil Åkesson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reine Bruhn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Karl-Oskar Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rune Östensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Rivierans Guldgossar's Rune Östensson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reine Bruhn. That made the score 4-3 after 78 minutes of play. Per Larsson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match, Nils-Erik Stor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reine Bruhn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kurt Ekman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Nyberg in the 84th minute of play. Andréas Kielstedt made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Karl-Oskar Örn immediately put the ball in play. If Karl-Oskar Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NK Podgrmec's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
