Snorre Ollongren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Johansson in the 13th minute of the match. Per Grubb hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Olov Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NUTGRABBERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Johansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, NUTGRABBERS's Bengt-Rune Häger got a free kick in the 20th minute. NUTGRABBERS's Jack Bollström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Pihlwall in the 22nd minute of play. Kjell Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to NUTGRABBERS getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mick Mur hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Allan Hammarberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jack Bollström, 1-0. In the 38th minute, Gösta Gullesson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Allan Hammarbergs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Jack Bollström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, NUTGRABBERS's Gösta Gullesson got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan Hammarberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Screaming Eagles's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Olov Johansson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Snorre Ollongren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mick Mur in the 55th minute. Jack Bollström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Pihlwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ian Malmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Snorre Ollongren having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per Grubb during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
