The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Flavius Encea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Villalobos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Hofors FK's goal looked a bit too open when Flavius Encea came free, but Cristian Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anders Asplund in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Villalobos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jörgen Vase kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Thomas Larsson struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Agne Johnsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hofors FK. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lilla Skania's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fredric Snäll was slow to take the kick. During this time Hofors FK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fredric Snäll got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Agne Johnsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Anders Asplund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Villalobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Anders Asplund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hofors FK's Cristian Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Asplund in the 38th minute of play. If Ulf Hjeltman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Villalobos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hofors FK's Albert Hääger got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Anders Asplund made the kick off in the second half. Agne Johnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Gallberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lilla Skania's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fredric Snäll was slow to take the kick. During this time Hofors FK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Fredric Snäll almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lilla Skania's Agne Johnsson did a great save. 54 minutes into the match, Lilla Skania's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Pil came free, but Agne Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavius Encea got free with Cristian Villalobos in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Flavius Encea took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cristian Villalobos to make any attempt to save it. Hofors FK made a substitution. Stanley Wood replaced Axel Pil. 65 minutes into the match, Lilla Skania's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Larsson came free, but Agne Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Hofors FK fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Hofors FK's Stig Gallberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The Hofors FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lilla Skania's performance. The match ended with a win for Lilla Skania.
