Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hällefors's Tim Wiman got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt Granström's late challenge caught a Hällefors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 9th minute of the match Rune Kock sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonatan Majman skillfully saved the ball. Jonny Zachrisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Bergendahl having to interfere. Patrik Bergendahl came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Göteborg FC's Kurt Dalman. But to his dismay, Kurt Dalman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Richard Fanström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jonatan Majman made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Pål Hjälm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When David Vikström fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällefors's protests and gave David Vikström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Göteborg FC booed when Hällefors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Vikström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Hällefors getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gösta Dalgren hit a great ball. Jonatan Majman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Kock in the 30th minute of play. After 33 minutes, Lukas Örtlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hällefors and the Göteborg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Joakim Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 minutes, Andreas Widberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hällefors and the Göteborg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Börge Friberger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Göteborg FC's Jonatan Majman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Fanström in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Börge Friberger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hällefors's supporters rose to their feet, but Börge Friberger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Majman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, one of Hällefors:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hällefors. The supporters of Hällefors booed when Göteborg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Hjälm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Kurt Dalman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrik Bergendahl. Kurt Dalman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 71st minute, Pål Hjälm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute Hällefors were awarded a corner. Gösta Dalgren went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonatan Majman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börge Friberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Widberg hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Joakim Rolandsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patrik Bergendahl. The goal made the score 0-3. David Vikström was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Göteborg FC played a much better game than Hällefors and deserved their victory. The Hällefors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
