An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Hjälm in the 43rd minute of play forced Storgatan Warriors's goalkeeper Björn Haeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Haeger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Söderström went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Göteborg FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Sandström to make the kick off. Jonny Zachrisson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Björn Haeger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Storgatan Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Oskar Strömbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Björn Haeger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jörn Haeger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 69 minute of play. If Joakim Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
