In the 3rd minute, Tony Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gröna Stjärnan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Björn Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Wennerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Gröna Stjärnan's Börje Brovall shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Björn Haeger but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Gröna Stjärnan's Kjell Lundgren got a free kick in the 17th minute. Kjell Lundgren's late challenge caught a Storgatan Warriors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjell Lundgren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Kjell Lundgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Gröna Stjärnan's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Bergkvist came free, but Alf Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Storgatan Warriors booed when Gröna Stjärnan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Söderström didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Wennerström in the 36th minute of play forced Storgatan Warriors's goalkeeper Björn Haeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Calle Asklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gröna Stjärnan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Storgatan Warriors the free kick. A collision led to Gröna Stjärnan getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Calle Asklund hit a great ball. Alf Björklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Andersson in the 39th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Storgatan Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Asklund came free, but Björn Haeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Wennerström to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folke Sandström in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alf Björklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute, Claes Olenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes Gröna Stjärnan got a freekick which was hit by Alvin Jonsson. Ernst Lindström fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 78th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Storgatan Warriors's Björn Haeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sivert Andberg in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Calle Asklund notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Storgatan Warriors's Björn Haeger. Björn Haeger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Gröna Stjärnan getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Sivert Andberg hit a great ball. Björn Haeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Wennerström in the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Storgatan Warriors players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gröna Stjärnan.
