But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Larsson couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Arvin Askestät cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Patrik Bergendahl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Arvin Askestät got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Hofors FK's Arvin Askestät in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Arvin Askestät put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Patrik Bergendahl. Arvin Askestät took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Bergendahl. Patrik Bergendahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Hällefors's Patrik Bergendahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvin Askestät in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Arvin Askestät made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Hällefors's Patrik Bergendahl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arvin Askestät in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrik Bergendahl saved Hällefors from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Hällefors's Per-Olof Valler got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Fredric Snäll shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrik Bergendahl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arvin Askestät was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Thomas Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hofors FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Börge Friberger fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällefors's protests and gave Börge Friberger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Hällefors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börge Friberger to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arvin Askestät in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Bergendahl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patrik Bergendahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvin Askestät in the 58th minute of play. Andreas Widberg's late challenge caught a Hofors FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 62nd minute, when Hofors FK's Filiph Ennegren after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Patrik Bergendahl in Hällefors's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Hofors FK's Arvin Askestät got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hofors FK's Arvin Askestät in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hofors FK's Cristian Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Friberger in the 69th minute of play. Arvin Askestät received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Patrik Bergendahl came out and tried to block the shot, but Arvin Askestät slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 73rd minute. Patrik Bergendahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvin Askestät in the 76th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hällefors! Cristian Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Wiman in the 87th minute of the match. 0-8 became the score in the 88th minute when Arvin Askestät elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Askestät in the 95th minute of play forced Hällefors's goalkeeper Patrik Bergendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute, Thomas Larsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hofors FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Hofors FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hällefors.
