The referee ignored Carolus Rex's protests and gave Marcus Bure a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Carolus Rex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Bure to maneuver through the defense. Morgan Gulliksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Kjellkvist in the 19th minute of play. Georg Lööf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ludwig Johnsson having to make a save. Carolus Rex's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georg Lööf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Kjellberg in the 57th minute of play forced Lucky FC's goalkeeper Ludwig Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Carolus Rex's goalkeeper Morgan Gulliksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Nordström. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Carolus Rex got a freekick which was hit by Georg Lööf. Morgan Gulliksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunnar Kjellkvist in the 92nd minute. After 96 minutes of play, Carolus Rex's Jens-Erik Kjellberg made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludwig Johnsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucky FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Carolus Rex to leave the ground with a draw.
