Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 6th minute Vilgot Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Ek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Örebro City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esbjörn Falk to maneuver through the defense. Örebro City's Pontus Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Skager in the 13th minute of play. Fred Skager took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pontus Ek. Pontus Ek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Örebro City booed when Oskarström was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Tönnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Axel Tidéksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Örebro City's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tidéksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Svensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tidéksson in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Svensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, Axel Tidéksson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johnny Svensson, 1-1. Johnny Svensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tidéksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Oskarström's Johnny Svensson got control of the ball when Mats Larsfelt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adam Nyberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johnny Svensson came out and tried to block the shot, but Adam Nyberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Stellan Hylander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnny Svensson. Oskarström's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stellan Hylander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 46th minute, Vilhelm Walmarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the match, Örebro City's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Åberg came free, but Pontus Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Örebro City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Ekegren to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Örebro City's goalkeeper Pontus Ek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stellan Hylander in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Svensson saved Oskarström from getting behind. Egil Tönnberg's late challenge caught a Örebro City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egil Tönnberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Oskarström got a freekick which was hit by Egil Tönnberg. Johnny Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tidéksson in the 70th minute of play. The Oskarström fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnny Svensson should have stopped the shot.
