Viktor Qvarnström was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Torbjörn Åberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torbjörn Åberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Aleksander Utfal made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Per-Oskar Sjögren sent off a good shot on target. When Jens-Erik Brolin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Jens-Erik Brolin hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes, AP United's Torbjörn Åberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Viktor Qvarnström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AP United reached it. Adrian Odén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Qvarnström having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Norrlands Athen U23 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AP United.
