The audience was convinced that Ragnar Dalgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bo-Erik Ahlquist was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Puttesgrabbar's Bo-Erik Ahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Dalgren in the 34th minute of play. Bo-Erik Ahlquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ragnar Dalgren's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When Norrlands Athen U23's Ragnar Dalgren in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puttesgrabbar's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Tim Holmberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Viktor Qvarnström. The goal made the score 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ragnar Dalgren made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Ragnar Dalgren from a close distance when the talented Bo-Erik Ahlquist managed to make a qualified save. Puttesgrabbar's players were relieved. When Norrlands Athen U23's Ragnar Dalgren in 52 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bo-Erik Ahlquist guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 53rd minute, Eskil Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo-Erik Ahlquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Dalgren in the 54th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Dalgren in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo-Erik Ahlquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viktor Qvarnström came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Puttesgrabbar's Tim Holmberg. But to his dismay, Tim Holmberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Olle Giöck fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norrlands Athen U23's protests and gave Olle Giöck a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Norrlands Athen U23 getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Olle Giöck hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Ingvar Browall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Viktor Qvarnström. Norrlands Athen U23's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Browall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ragnar Dalgren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Bo-Erik Ahlquist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Norrlands Athen U23 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Puttesgrabbar.
