The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jens-Åke Kilman kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Jens-Åke Kilman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åshöjden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Åke Kilman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Furix getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. George Säfström hit a great ball. If Villiam Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Åshöjden's Klas Sandström got a free kick in the 20th minute. Sven-Erik Hjälm who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Victor Glanselius when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Per-Arne Viklund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Björn Ståhlberg. Furix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per-Arne Viklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Björn Ståhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Åke Kilman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Per-Arne Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ståhlberg having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Per-Arne Viklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åshöjden's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Arne Viklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Ståhlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Freddie Ingvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Åshöjden fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Åshöjden's Jens-Åke Kilman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Åshöjden getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Per-Arne Viklund hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Jan Olsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Furix's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Viklund came free, but Björn Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Per-Arne Viklund made the kick off in the second half. Jens-Åke Kilman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Furix's Björn Ståhlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Furix from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Arne Viklund in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Björn Ståhlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Klas Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Björn Ståhlberg managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Åshöjden's Jens-Åke Kilman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 59 minutes into the match, Furix's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Viklund came free, but Björn Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Pettersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Furix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. Björn Ståhlberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Per-Arne Viklund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 68 minute of play. George Säfström charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Säfström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Furix's Björn Ståhlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Furix from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Furix's zone, Per-Arne Viklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Ståhlberg came out of the goal and Per-Arne Viklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Björn Ståhlberg managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Åshöjden's Klas Sandström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 82nd minute, Villiam Godholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Furix's George Säfström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victor Glanselius came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Furix reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klas Sandström in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Björn Ståhlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Klas Sandström struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Björn Ståhlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åshöjden. Björn Ståhlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Sandström in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Åshöjden could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Furix throughout the match.
