Hornmyr IF's Wiktor Strömqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Sjöberg in the 34th minute of play forced Modo FF's goalkeeper Arvid Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arvid Norberg made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Wiktor Strömqvist sent off a good shot on target. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torbjörn Emander made a kick off. When Tord Jansson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Modo FF's protests and gave Tord Jansson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hornmyr IF booed when Modo FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvid Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Strömqvist in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Jan-Erik Fågel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hornmyr IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 61st match minute, Modo FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiph Falkrantz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Wiktor Strömqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hornmyr IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiktor Strömqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Modo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arvid Norberg should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hornmyr IF fully deserved thier win.
