The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute, Osvald Västlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute of the match Alvin Berggren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alf Andreasson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Nye RK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stjärnhov BK:s goal. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Stjärnhov BK's Bertil Odén got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arvin Lang. After 22 minutes, Alvin Berggren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nye RK and the Stjärnhov BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Nye RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvin Berggren to maneuver through the defense. Jens-Erik Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvin Lang having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Nye RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Ek to maneuver through the defense. Ove Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alf Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Håkan Wall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herbert Arenstedt during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Stjärnhov BK booed when Nye RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Arenstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvin Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Hellström in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jens-Erik Hellström made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Erik Hellström in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arvin Lang saved Nye RK from getting behind. 56 minutes into the match, Nye RK's Thomas Dalström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alf Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alf Andreasson made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Thomas Dalström sent off a good shot on target. Arvin Lang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Erik Hellström's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nye RK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bertil Odén was slow to take the kick. During this time Stjärnhov BK's players had a chance to rest. Håkan Wall took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arvin Lang. Arvin Lang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Thomas Dalström in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alf Andreasson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 87 minutes into the match, Thomas Dalström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Andreasson. Stjärnhov BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Dalström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Thomas Dalström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Andreasson having to interfere.
