Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ian Åberg started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, BARCA's Reine Gallberg got a free kick in the 13th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Börje Stålberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sven-Erik Svanér was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 25 played minutes BARCA got a freekick which was hit by Mark Norberg. After a defensive mix-up in Hägernäs IK's zone, Reine Gallberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixten Åberg came out of the goal and Reine Gallberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven-Erik Svanér made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Stålberg in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in BARCA's zone, Börje Stålberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Erik Svanér came out of the goal and Börje Stålberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes BARCA got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Stabbe. When Börje Stålberg came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Hägernäs IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Stålberg couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Börje Stålberg made a kick off. Sven-Erik Svanér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Stålberg in the 56th minute of the match. The corner ended in Börje Stålberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BARCA's Sven-Erik Svanér did a great save. Hägernäs IK's John Biörkman got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of BARCA booed when Hägernäs IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Oihan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Katia kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Börje Stålberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BARCA's Karl Magnusson challenged an opponent after 73 minutes. The hit was so bad that he suffered a foot injury. Christian Näver's late challenge caught a BARCA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Näver helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Christian Näver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Börje Stålberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hägernäs IK made a substitution. Karl-Åke Hjortberg replaced Christian Näver. If Karl-Åke Hjortberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börje Stålberg took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Erik Svanér. Sven-Erik Svanér dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
