In the 13thth minute of the game Leif Abrahamsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc north's Jonatan Carlberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Björn Lindsten's late challenge caught a Stjärtpillarnas IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Björn Lindsten helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Fc north got a freekick which was hit by Björn Lindsten. After a defensive mix-up in Stjärtpillarnas IK's zone, Stellan Gallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Pliszka came out of the goal and Stellan Gallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leif Abrahamsson in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonatan Carlberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Fc north getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Daniel Wennerqvist hit a great ball. If Leif Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leif Abrahamsson came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Stjärtpillarnas IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Abrahamsson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Fc north's Daniel Wennerqvist got a free kick in the 35th minute. With his leg Jonatan Carlberg managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Stjärtpillarnas IK's Leif Abrahamsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leif Abrahamsson in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonatan Carlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute Leif Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Carlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Stellan Gallin made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif Abrahamsson in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonatan Carlberg saved Fc north from getting behind. Stellan Gallin hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stjärtpillarnas IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fc north had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
