In the 11th minute, The Moon-Atomic's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edvard Samuelsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, The Moon-Atomic's Per-Olof Kråk got a free kick in the 12th minute. David Bowie might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sten Bolin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Bowie ran back to his position shaking his head. Stig Vacker charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig Vacker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Moon-Atomic booed when Djurgårdens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Vacker didn't get a good kick on the ball. When The Moon-Atomic's Per-Olof Kråk in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Edvard Samuelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sten Bolin having to make a save. Thomas Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Bolin having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Kjell Hjortsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sten Bolin came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Djurgårdens IF's Edvard Samuelsson. But to his dismay, Edvard Samuelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Thomas Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Bolin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Edvard Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Djurgårdens IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvard Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Bolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kjell Hjortsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Sten Bolin made a huge save. 45 minutes into the game, Kjell-Arne Hedkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Moon-Atomic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Djurgårdens IF the free kick. A collision led to The Moon-Atomic getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Per-Olof Kråk to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the The Moon-Atomic defense, David Bowie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sten Bolin. The The Moon-Atomic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sten Bolin should have stopped the shot. If Edvard Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Blomqvist took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Bolin. Sten Bolin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Jimmie Moberg came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by The Moon-Atomic's Per-Olof Kråk. But to his dismay, Per-Olof Kråk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Edvard Samuelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sten Bolin having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Edvard Samuelsson put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sten Bolin. Thomas Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Sten Bolin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
