The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Edgar Gallin threw the ball into play from the sideline. The shot was a little too simple and Stellan Gallin could save by the left post. Stellan Gallin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Jonasson in the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fredriksdal BF's Otto Sundström got a free kick in the 12th minute. Olov Vennerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morgan Bogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, BK Skoj's goal looked a bit too open when Per Frick came free, but Olov Vennerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Per Frick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fredriksdal BF's Sven-Olof Lustig got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fredriksdal BF's Sven-Olof Lustig got a free kick in the 35th minute. Fredriksdal BF's Stellan Gallin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Fredriksdal BF from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Johannes Eliasson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Fredriksdal BF's Stellan Gallin. Stellan Gallin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Fredriksdal BF booed when BK Skoj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasper Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Abrahamsson in the 52nd minute of play forced Fredriksdal BF's goalkeeper Stellan Gallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Michael Rolfsson during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karl-Michael Rolfsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Olov Vennerberg came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Fredriksdal BF's Per Frick. But to his dismay, Per Frick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Morgan Bogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morgan Bogren struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Olov Vennerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fredriksdal BF. In the 64th minute, Morgan Bogren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Fredriksdal BF's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Eliasson came free, but Stellan Gallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Vennerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
