Östavall's Karl Kjellberg quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 7 minutes, Mohammad Soulaimani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Östavall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohammad Soulaimani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Édouard Mendy made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mohammad Soulaimani sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Valencia in the 21st minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Opilano Corujo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Opilano Corujo in the 27th minute of the match. Álvaro Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Opilano Corujo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 29 played minutes AIK got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Hedbom. Mohammad Soulaimanis short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Édouard Mendy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kristoffer Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Moura having to interfere. Felipe Valencia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Édouard Mendy having to interfere. Felipe Valencia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Édouard Mendy came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipe Valencia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 40th minute. With a little luck, AIK's Édouard Mendy got control of the ball when Mohammad Soulaimani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Helge Söderman made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Östavall's Karl Kjellberg. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Opilano Corujo made a kick off. Opilano Corujo in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Álvaro Moura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Opilano Corujo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Álvaro Moura made a huge save. Álvaro Moura was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Opilano Corujo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. AIK's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammad Soulaimani in the 78th minute of play. Felipe Valencia kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Valencia in the 88th minute of play. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammad Soulaimani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Östavall's Felipe Valencia. But to his dismay, Felipe Valencia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Östavall had won after a very even match.
