In the 3rd minute, Hans Bruse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Melin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 5th minute Sverker Lange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Melin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Kalju Viilup left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSC Bari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Fred Melin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Bruse in the 10th minute of the match. Kalju Viilup received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fred Melin came out and tried to block the shot, but Kalju Viilup slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 12th minute. Fred Melin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sverker Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Elof Heggert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Tosh Goodwin made a precise shot to the right of Fred Melin. Mean Machines FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Tosh Goodwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Melin having to interfere. In the 27th minute, SSC Bari's Kalju Viilup dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. A collision led to Mean Machines FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Krister Johnsson hit a great ball. Mean Machines FC's Fred Melin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Mean Machines FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Tosh Goodwin took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Fred Melin to make any attempt to save it. SSC Bari's Tosh Goodwin got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Mean Machines FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Bruse came free, but Fred Melin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

Fred Melin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Eckegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, SSC Bari's Kalju Viilup nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fred Melin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Fred Melin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tosh Goodwin in the 67th minute of play. If Sverker Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Melin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalju Viilup in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverker Lange in the 76th minute of play forced Mean Machines FC's goalkeeper Fred Melin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mean Machines FC's Fred Melin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tosh Goodwin in the 79th minute of play. Stig-Åke Gulliksson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Mean Machines FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverker Lange in the 84th minute of play forced Mean Machines FC's goalkeeper Fred Melin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Melin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sverker Lange's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sverker Lange in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Melin saved Mean Machines FC from getting behind. 86 minutes into the game, SSC Bari's Sverker Lange nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fred Melin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. If Stig-Åke Gulliksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SSC Bari had played much better football throughout.
