An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Arenberg in the 43rd minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Édouard Mendy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Billy Arenberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AIK's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Wikander in the 51st minute of play.
