Andréas Botvidsson kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Gullholmen's Mats Björkman shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dan Skoog but with some difficulty. Aaron Fribäck scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Morat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, IFK NORRKÖPING's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Nyström came free, but Dan Skoog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Mats Björkman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Skoog skillfully saved the ball. Dan Skoog made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Johnsson in the 18th minute. When Rickard Nyström came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gullholmen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickard Nyström couldn't finish the play. IFK NORRKÖPING's Dan Skoog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Nyström in the 24th minute of play. Dan Skoog came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Gullholmen's Adam Johnsson. But to his dismay, Adam Johnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 36 minutes, Stig Qvarnström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK NORRKÖPING and the Gullholmen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gullholmen's David Morat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Qvarnström in the 44th minute of play. IFK NORRKÖPING's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Billy Tönnberg in the 45th minute. A nice corner shot did that Billy Tönnberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Morat quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dan Skoog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Strandberg in the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickard Nyström made a kick off. If Adam Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, IFK NORRKÖPING's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Johnsson came free, but Dan Skoog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Rickard Nyström made a precise shot to the right of Dan Skoog. IFK NORRKÖPING's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Stig Qvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Morat having to interfere. Dan Skoog had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Mats Björkman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Mats Björkman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dan Skoog. IFK NORRKÖPING's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mats Björkman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. 98 minutes into the game, Gullholmen's Adam Johnsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Skoog made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gullholmen fully deserved thier win.
