Spectators: 7434 (Terracing: 5614, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 100) André Brandin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Knut Wik came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Busby Babes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Knut Wik couldn't finish the play. André Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Busby Babes's Olle Falkrantz got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th match minute, Busby Babes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Emander to maneuver through the defense. Bäckby FK's Kurt Vik shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Christoffer Persson but with some difficulty. After 11 played minutes Busby Babes got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Olsson. 12 minutes into the match, Bäckby FK's Kurt Vik broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Knut Wik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Knut Wik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bo-Erik Vik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, William Eklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoffer Persson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Joar Lindholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Bäckby FK's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Wik came free, but Bo-Erik Vik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Busby Babes booed when Bäckby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Stor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joar Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Busby Babes's Sven-Ove Olsson got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Bertil Larsfält managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Busby Babes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertil Larsfält was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Björn Karlsson fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bäckby FK's protests and gave Björn Karlsson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Bäckby FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Busby Babes:s goal. Bo-Erik Vik had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Sven-Ove Olsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Bäckby FK defense, Sven-Ove Olsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bo-Erik Vik. The Bäckby FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bo-Erik Vik should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Knut Wik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bo-Erik Vik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Wik, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. André Brandin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Persson having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Bäckby FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Stor to maneuver through the defense. William Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christoffer Persson came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Bäckby FK's André Brandin. But to his dismay, André Brandin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Bäckby FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kurt Vik in the 73rd minute. William Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Persson having to interfere. In the 79th minute William Eklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoffer Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Busby Babes's Christoffer Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Brandin in the 86th minute of play. Oskar Alegren hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Knut Wik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bo-Erik Vik was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Christoffer Persson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Brandin in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Busby Babes's goal looked a bit too open when William Eklund came free, but Christoffer Persson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bo-Erik Vik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Wik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christoffer Persson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Eklund in the 97th minute of the match. Bäckby FK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
