Stig-Arne Jonasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 18 minutes in the game, Thor Bank fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hubert Strömbom having to interfere. In the 20th play minute Tim Skark came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hubert Strömbom. 1-1. Stig-Arne Jonasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Björkdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes, Gustav Lönn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Domarnas IF and the Loverpool players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Bank in the 51st minute of play forced Domarnas IF's goalkeeper Hubert Strömbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Skark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hubert Strömbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Karl-Axel Hök hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Hubert Strömbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Bank, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute.
