Bo-Erik Vik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Tinglöf, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Bo-Erik Vik was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ivar Tinglöf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bo-Erik Vik having to make a save. Bäckby FK's Bo-Erik Vik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Strömqvist in the 14th minute of play. If Ivar Tinglöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Lönn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Oxie IK booed when Bäckby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Alegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Ivar Tinglöf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bo-Erik Vik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 41 minutes, Ivar Tinglöf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxie IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Tinglöf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bäckby FK's zone, Ivar Tinglöf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo-Erik Vik came out of the goal and Ivar Tinglöf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Strömqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo-Erik Vik having to interfere. Ivar Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Bo-Erik Vik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bäckby FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oxie IK were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Brandin was the one to do the kick off. Bo-Erik Vik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivar Tinglöf in the 54th minute. Peter Strömqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bo-Erik Vik having to make a save. Bo-Erik Vik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Tinglöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Lövgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Brandin in the 89th minute of play. Bo-Erik Vik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Lönn's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Ivar Tinglöf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
