Spectators: 7387 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sigvard Backman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Stefan Kilberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Strömqvist in the 3rd minute of the match. If Ivar Tinglöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Tinglöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Kilberg having to interfere. Peter Strömqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kurt Zachrisson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Georg Lövgren firmly grabbed it by the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Oxie IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvard Backman came free, but Georg Lövgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georg Lövgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Backman, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Stefan Kilberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Tinglöf in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Oxie IK booed when Loverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Törnkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Sven-Edvin Falck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Kilberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stefan Kilberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Tinglöf in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Ivar Tinglöf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Kilberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Jonathan Lönn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxie IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Lönn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Peter Strömqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivar Tinglöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Kilberg having to interfere. If Krister Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Tinglöf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Ivar Tinglöf made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Lönn in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Kilberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Strömqvist struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Stefan Kilberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oxie IK. When Ivar Tinglöf came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Oxie IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivar Tinglöf couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Sigvard Backman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Oxie IK's Georg Lövgren. Georg Lövgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Stefan Kilberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kurt Zachrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Kilberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Tinglöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivar Tinglöf received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stefan Kilberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivar Tinglöf slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 73rd minute. When Jonathan Lönn came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Oxie IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Lönn couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Oxie IK's Ivar Tinglöf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefan Kilberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Lönn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Kilberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Jonathan Lönn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Strömqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ivar Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Stefan Kilberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Oxie IK's Ivar Tinglöf slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stefan Kilberg. That made the score 1-2 after 92 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Oxie IK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Loverpool.
