In the 17th minute Clive Fordham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Strömbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Strömbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Wiklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Torsten Wiklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hubert Strömbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Alsterbro's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Sandström came free, but Fritz Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Alsterbro booed when Domarnas IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Björkdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göran Björkkvist's late challenge caught a Domarnas IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmar Senen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Hubert Strömbom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fritz Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Sandström in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Gustav Lönn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Alsterbro defense, Niclas Sandström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fritz Åström. The Alsterbro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fritz Åström should have stopped the shot. If Torsten Wiklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alsterbro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
