In a very dangerous position, a player in Alsterbro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Loverpool a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stig-Arne Jonasson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alsterbro's Fritz Åström. 0-1. Felix Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Fritz Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alsterbro's Fritz Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Håkansson in the 18th minute of play. Fritz Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Lindqvist in the 19th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Loverpool's corner Stig-Arne Jonasson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fritz Åström quite easily take care of the ball. In the 24th minute, Sven-Erik Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st match minute, Alsterbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Bäckman to maneuver through the defense. Felix Lindqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Loverpool getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Torgny Jakobsson hit a great ball. Fritz Åström came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Loverpool's Torgny Jakobsson. But to his dismay, Torgny Jakobsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 42 played minutes Alsterbro got a freekick which was hit by Clive Fordham. After recieving a nice pass, Loverpool's Stig-Arne Jonasson tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Loverpool's goalkeeper Stefan Kilberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmar Senen. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 53rd minute Stig-Arne Jonasson managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Christer Alebom kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Felix Lindqvists short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Fritz Åström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fritz Åström was a little too slow when Gösta Håkansson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 66th minute, Göran Björkkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Alsterbro's Delmar Senen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefan Kilberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Loverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Jakobsson to maneuver through the defense. When Göran Björkkvist fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alsterbro's protests and gave Göran Björkkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Alsterbro got a freekick which was hit by Göran Björkkvist. Stig-Arne Jonasson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fritz Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Senen in the 81st minute of play forced Loverpool's goalkeeper Stefan Kilberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Göran Björkkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Göran Björkkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. The Alsterbro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Loverpool's performance. The match ended with a win for Loverpool.
