Bergshamra's Roger Björkkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvid Örtendahl in the 11th minute of play. Roger Björkkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Malmström in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Bergshamra getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Svante Vestlund hit a great ball. When Henry Falkrantz fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Månstad IK's protests and gave Henry Falkrantz a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 minutes Månstad IK's goalkeeper Vidar Salqvist managed, with a little bit of luck, save Per Bergvall's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After a long run with the ball, Per Bergvall did a trick in the 26th minute in front of Månstad IK's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by Bergshamra's Per Bergvall! 29 minutes into the match, Bergshamra's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Malmström came free, but Roger Björkkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivar Malmström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Månstad IK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Verner Westerberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 42 minutes of play, Månstad IK's Ivar Malmström made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Björkkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roger Björkkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Malmström, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Arvid Örtendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Roger Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Månstad IK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Stensson to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Henry Falkrantz made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Bergshamra's Roger Björkkvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Bergshamra booed when Månstad IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Drake didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Stensson in the 61st minute of play forced Bergshamra's goalkeeper Roger Björkkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arvid Örtendahl scored 1-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Björkkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roger Björkkvist made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Arvid Örtendahl sent off a good shot on target. When Edmund Stensson came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Månstad IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund Stensson couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Arvid Örtendahl could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Roger Björkkvist however easily saved by the left post. 89 minutes into the game, Henning Kling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Roger Björkkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roger Björkkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leif Alfors in the 95th minute.
