Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes of play, Malmö Fotbollförening's George Berg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arne Molin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mats Smefeldt came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Vrigstad BF's Christer Granström. But to his dismay, Christer Granström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Arne Molin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Arne Molin came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Malmö Fotbollförening's Birger Benet. But to his dismay, Birger Benet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. George Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Malmö Fotbollförening's Birger Benet in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vrigstad BF's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Vrigstad BF's Kurt Häger got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of Malmö Fotbollförening booed when Vrigstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Hagström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vrigstad BF's Jan Engström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mats Smefeldt. That made the score 3-2 after 33 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Mats Smefeldt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th minute George Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Molin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malmö Fotbollförening's Mats Smefeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Granström in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charlie Nyström during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Vrigstad BF got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Nyström. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Engström made a kick off. Malmö Fotbollförening's Mats Smefeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Hagström in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Häger in the 58th minute of play forced Malmö Fotbollförening's goalkeeper Mats Smefeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vrigstad BF's Alex Hagström got a free kick in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Gustav Brovall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arne Molin. Vrigstad BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustav Brovall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Arne Molin made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when George Berg sent off a good shot on target. Mats Smefeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Hagström in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, George Berg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vrigstad BF's Arne Molin didn't even have to move. 73 minutes into the game, Stig-Ove Lindberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vrigstad BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malmö Fotbollförening the free kick. Vrigstad BF's Jan-Erik Rang was substituted for Jan Engström. 82 minutes into the match, Malmö Fotbollförening's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Häger came free, but Mats Smefeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Birger Benet reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arne Molin. The goal made the score 4-4. George Berg succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-5. Mats Smefeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Häger, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Vrigstad BF's Arne Molin got control of the ball when George Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute Kurt Häger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Smefeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Malmö Fotbollförening eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
