After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Peter Anselius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Assyriska BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Anselius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Carlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tor Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Måns Asklund charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Måns Asklund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Venturas Aces was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Asklund to maneuver through the defense. When Bo Gernberg fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venturas Aces's protests and gave Bo Gernberg a yellow card for diving instead. Bo Gernberg hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Venturas Aces defense, Peter Anselius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Börje Carlberg. The Venturas Aces fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Börje Carlberg should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Tor Bröms had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börje Carlberg. Venturas Aces's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tor Bröms was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Calle Vibjörnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calle Vibjörnsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Calle Vibjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Bröms in the 47th minute of play forced Venturas Aces's goalkeeper Börje Carlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börje Carlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calle Vibjörnsson's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Venturas Aces getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Stig Larsson hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Assyriska BK's Tor Bröms ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Börje Carlberg. Börje Carlberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Peter Anselius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börje Carlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Tor Bröms managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assyriska BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Bröms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Måns Asklund hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Börje Carlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor Bröms in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Anselius in the 70th minute of play forced Venturas Aces's goalkeeper Börje Carlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Anselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Börje Carlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Assyriska BK booed when Venturas Aces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Måns Asklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Börje Carlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Bröms's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Venturas Aces's Börje Carlberg got control of the ball when Calle Vibjörnsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venturas Aces's Jonas Bark got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Peter Anselius fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Börje Carlberg, passed just outside the right post. Tor Bröms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Carlberg having to interfere. Assyriska BK played a much better game than Venturas Aces and deserved their victory. The Venturas Aces players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
