Sten Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Malmström in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Kling in the 19th minute of play forced Assyriska BK's goalkeeper Sten Ström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Bröms recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Månstad IK's Vidar Salqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor Bröms in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Arvid Örtendahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Månstad IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Örtendahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Ström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Anselius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vidar Salqvist having to interfere. Ivar Malmström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th minute of the match, Ivar Malmström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sten Ström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

Månstad IK's Edmund Stensson was substituted for Ivar Malmström. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tor Bröms to strike the kick off in the second half. Sten Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Stensson in the 54th minute of play. Månstad IK's Arvid Örtendahl got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tor Bröms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vidar Salqvist having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Månstad IK got a freekick which was hit by Henry Falkrantz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Falkrantz during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Månstad IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Falkrantz to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Edmund Stensson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sten Ström was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. In the 98th minute, Paul Drake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
