Squidens IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vintilă Văleanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Weverton Carneiro came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Assyriska BK's Tor Bröms. But to his dismay, Tor Bröms quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Sten Ström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaroslav Gladyshev, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 93rd minute, Squidens IF's Vintilă Văleanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. Thanks to some nice moves Yaroslav Gladyshev could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Sten Ström however easily saved by the left post. If Vintilă Văleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Squidens IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
